Not across the board yet. The first hard, dated obligation is the EU battery passport, mandatory from 18 February 2027 under Regulation (EU) 2023/1542. Other product groups follow through ESPR delegated acts, with the first of those binding indicatively from around 2028 onward. The EU DPP central registry goes live on 19 July 2026 as the directory that resolves product identifiers to each passport's location.
When is my industry's deadline?+
It depends on your product group. Batteries are fixed at 18 February 2027. ESPR groups such as textiles, steel and aluminium and tyres have delegated acts expected indicatively around 2027, with obligations landing roughly 2028 to 2029 after the transition period. Packaging follows the PPWR, which applies generally from 12 August 2026. The check shows the specific, honest timeline for the industry you pick, dated as of July 2026.
